Second green bond issued for BC health care construction project


Almost two years after Island Health’s North Island Hospitals Project (NIHP) became the first public-private partnership project in North America and the first public infrastructure project in Canada to be partially funded through a green bond issue, a second green bond has been issued to finance the new Penticton Regional Hospital patient care tower and parkade.

New underground storm water management system installed at Comox Valley Hospital site


The second phase of a colourful new storm water management system was installed on the new Comox Valley Hospital construction site in May.
A number of construction trailers were relocated away from the area between the new parkade and Lerwick Road to make way for rows of bright orange StormTech Stormwater shells forming a huge underground storm water retention chamber to the northeast of the new hospital.

Hospital team goes back to school, back to the future
